Laid Paper Molds
This Honduran mahogany mold and deckle has high strength, 100% waterproof dovetail and slip joinery. The ribs are aluminum aircraft tubing, pine or Port Orford. The screen is type 308 stainless laid at 22 lines / inch with polyester wove screen underlay. Deckles are relieved to clear the retainer and lightly cambered to make firm contact with the screen. The brass retainer is brazed at the corners for added strength and held in place with escutcheon pins.
